Volunteering for The Batemans Trust – an experience you will never forget
We are always on the look-out for a range of volunteers, normally aged 21 and over, who are available on a long, medium or short-term basis. We are particularly interested in recruiting qualified teachers with special needs expertise who could work with the teachers at our Open School.
However, whatever your skills, the most important attribute is a willingness to do whatever you can to help Batemans’ work and make a difference to the lives of the young people we support. From dance workshops to dentistry, over the years our volunteers have all given something wonderful to the children in our care and, as many will testify, have received much in return.
If you are interested in volunteering with Batemans, we would love to hear from you.
Please contact us, outlining briefly why you want to go, what you have to offer and how much of a commitment you can make in terms of time. Our first response will be to send you an application form and then, if you are serious about going, it would be beneficial for all concerned to arrange a meeting with one or more of the trustees.
We can also put you in touch with some previous volunteers so you can find out more first-hand. We will also provide an informal induction for you so that you are well prepared for what could be some of the most wonderful few months of your life.
