There are many ways for corporates, smaller companies or organisations to help us and their sponsorship and support makes a huge difference to our work.
A donation can be made for a specific purpose or to support our general work. We also encourage company staff to get involved by organising their own fundraising activities within the company, getting involved as volunteers and visiting the children if they are in India.
Contact trustee Jemma Little to find out more about how we can work together.
You could become part of our Grand 100 campaign asking companies, groups or individuals to raise £1000 each to help fund the building of our new community education and training centre which will include a new primary school, community training facilities and our own boarding house nearby. For more detailed information about our plans you can read our Development proposal.
We will always recognise your support and work with you to ensure we comply with your guidelines and support your corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting.

Our sponsors
We are very grateful to our past and present sponsors who have made a real contribution to our growth and success, both financially and via their in-kind support.
Large and small companies, schools and organisations work with us under their CSR mission and have an immediate impact on our children by providing much-needed funds but also by giving their time and expertise to help raise our children’s aspirations for future careers and give them opportunities to fulfil their potential.
TWI
TWI is one of the world’s foremost independent research and technology organisations, with expertise in materials joining and engineering processes.
TWI provides Members and stakeholders with authoritative and impartial expert advice, knowhow and safety assurance related to engineering technologies.
TWI has an office in Chennai and as part of the company’s community engagement work its staff have been involved in our work and, most recently, sponsored our new school bus – Sunshine – which we received in August 2018 and which has had a major impact on Batemans children;s ability to access their classes and extra-curricular activities.
“Having the bus has been such a great blessing. The bus has served its primary purpose of transporting the group of 30 children to school every day. The children enjoy their comfortable ride together and have fun filled moments to cherish throughout their 20 km journey to and from the school. Apart from the regular school trips, the bus has been used for recreational trips to the zoo, beach etc during the school holidays and educational trips to museums and sites of interest. We have also been able to make trips to our land site and do outreach programmes for children of the nearby villages. This has helped us to make ourselves familiar with the people of that locality.” Monica Augustine, Project leader, Satkaarya Trust

Clarks Shoes
Clarks gave us a generous donation in recognition of the importance of the leather industry in the Chennai area and of Batemans’ work in helping children through education. Their generosity enabled us to purchase the plot of land on which to build our new school and community education and training centre.
